The Convention on Cluster Munitions

The CCM is an international treaty of more than 100 States that addresses the humanitarian consequences and unacceptable harm caused to civilians by cluster munitions, through a categorical prohibition and a framework for action.

CCM President’s Declaration on the use of cluster munitions in Syria

The Presidency of the CCM, the Netherlands, issued the following statement today:

“We are once again appalled by the use of cluster munitions and barrel bombs in populated areas by the Syrian regime. Their indiscriminate attacks against civilians are contrary to international humanitarian law and the norms set by this convention. Continue reading →

Croatia, President of the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM), welcomes the elimination of cluster munitions in Germany

On 25 November 2015 the Government of Germany completed the destruction of their stockpiles of cluster munitions in accordance with its obligations as a State Party to the Convention on Cluster Munitions.

Iceland ratifies the CCM
