The United Nations General Assembly voted early December on the annual UN resolution on the implementation of the Convention on Cluster Munitions which was adopted with a vote of 142 in favor, 2 against, and 36 abstentions.

The CCM is an international treaty of more than 100 States that addresses the humanitarian consequences and unacceptable harm caused to civilians by cluster munitions, through a categorical prohibition and a framework for action.
