In the lead up to the Second Review Conference of the Convention on Cluster Munitions (2RC), the following informal briefings were held:

• Informal briefing in virtual format on 8 June 2020
• Informal briefing in virtual format on 18 June 2021
• Informal briefing in hybrid format on 27 August 2021 at the Palais des Nations, Geneva

Two formal preparatory meetings were also convened:

• The First Preparatory Meeting took place on 29 June 2020 at the Palais des Nations, Geneva
• The Second Preparatory Meeting took place on 4 September 2020 at the Palais des Nations, Geneva

The Second Review Conference was held in two parts:

• The first part of the 2RC was held in virtual format on 25-27 November 2020
• The second part of the 2RC was held in hybrid format on 20 and 21 September 2021 at the Palais des Nations, Geneva
