On 2 September 2014, Belize and Congo have ratified the CCM becoming the 85th and 86th states parties to the CCM.

The CCM is an international treaty of more than 100 States that addresses the humanitarian consequences and unacceptable harm caused to civilians by cluster munitions, through a categorical prohibition and a framework for action.
